The Coastal Crow (and Raven) Tarot began one afternoon at Jackson Beach, a beach just outside of Friday Harbor. Many crows live all along that stretch of shoreline whereas ravens can be found at the other beaches. One afternoon my kiddo and I parked to eat our lunch at Jackson Beach. She rolled down the window and held out a french fry. In seconds, crows and gulls dropped in like a scene from The Birds. Then, just as fast, they lifted off and the beach went quiet again. That little chaos-to-calm swing stuck with me. It is how life moves.
 
When we are not dangling fries out the window, our shorelines are deeply relaxing. That is the energy I brought into this deck. Every card starts with a photograph I took on the island. From Cattle Point, to Lime Kiln, its hard not to find inspiration at the beach. Along with images of the coastline and water, I also take pictures of feathers, shells, driftwood, seaweed to include on each card.  The goal for this deck is simple: create artwork that reflects the energy I feel while at the beach and in turn create a resource that offers a calm reading, even when the seas feel rough.
 
Clear, grounded, and quiet. This deck helps slow things down so you can see what is in front of you and choose the next step with less noise.
