Like tarot, Lenormand is a fixed system of cards with the same meanings and symbolism across decks. The symbol on each of the 36 cards represents a specific aspect of life, such as love, money, travel, or health, and when combined with other cards, the spread creates a story that reveals new insights and opportunities. But unlike tarot, which has a more complex system of symbolism and interpretation, Lenormand is more straightforward and literal in its meaning. You can read the cards like a sentence to answer your questions.

How to read a Lenormand deck?
Reading a Lenormand deck is similar to using story cards. Each card adds an element to the story.
Begin with a clear, practical question, then draw two or three cards and read them from left to right. Each card adds detail to the one before it: a card might show a person, an obstacle, an opportunity, or what happens next. Pay attention to how their meanings change when combined. Start with the everyday meaning of what you see, and let the story grow from there.

A message about a steady job or long-term contract. If it’s about a relationship, it might be someone reaching out to reaffirm their commitment.
The Anchor gives the arriving message its subject: stability, work, or something you intend to hold onto.
